Enrolment Scheme
An official ministry of education enrolment scheme was put in place at Durie Hill School back in 2006 and currently remains.
Under an enrolment scheme, students have an automatic right to enrol if they live within the school’s zone. Detail of the school’s zone is explained below.
Students living outside the zone may still be able to attend, but parents will need to apply for enrolment. We encourage parents to contact us as soon as possible about this.
Enrolments for 2025 - will close on Monday 14th October 2024
We urge and encourage parents, even if living outside our zone to contact us as soon as possible if you would like your children to attend our school at any stage in 2025.
Enrolment applications for students living outside our zone are invited from parents who would like their children to attend Durie Hill School at any time in 2025. The application form is not time consuming - please email or phone us about this or to receive a copy.
To help us with our planning, we ask that parents with children living within our school's zone contact us to advise of prospective enrolments.
The exact number of places available for students living outside the zone will depend on the number of enrolments received from students who live inside the school’s home zone. All students living inside our zone are automatically able to attend, regardless of when they are due to enrol.
For students living outside our zone, the following timeline will apply for parents wishing for their children to attend our school at any time in 2025.
Timeline for 2025 Enrolments
By 15 September 2024 a newspaper advertisement will be published indicating;
- the number of likely 'out-of-zone' places at each Year Level for 2025;
- the closing deadline for out-of-zone applications - this will be Monday 14th October 2024
- the date of the ballot (only if required - if applications exceed number of places available) - this will be Friday 17th October 2024
We urge and encourage parents, even if living outside our zone to contact us as soon as possible if you would like your children to attend our school at any stage in 2025.
